Dr Dani Chandrasoma

Rheumatologist

Dr. Dani Chandrasoma is a Rheumatologist and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She is a member of the Australian Rheumatology Association (ARA). She graduated from the University of Sydney and completed her internship, residency, and Basic Physician Training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Her rheumatology training was completed at John Hunter Hospital and Concord Hospital.

Dr Chandrasoma provides compassionate and holistic care for patients with all rheumatological conditions, including arthritis, autoimmune disorders, and musculoskeletal issues. She practices evidence-based medicine and creates personalised treatment plans that focus on improving long term health outcomes and quality of life. She has a particular interest in inflammatory arthritis and autoimmune rheumatological diseases.

Dr Chandrasoma is a faculty member at the University of Newcastle School of Medicine & Public Health, where she lectures and contributes to curriculum development for the Joint Medical Program.


Outside of work, Dr Chandrasoma enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and gardening.
